Can I Use Blurple LED Lights To Grow Cannabis?
Short answer: yes, you can use blurple LEDs for your cannabis, BUT it probably won’t be very good.
DISCLAIMER: I can’t claim to be an expert, but here is my experience and my research.
- I started out with the blurple lights, having read that they were just fine for my 4 x 4 tent, and I used them throughout the veg stage of my first grow.
- It was going really well, but other users on 420magazine.com started telling me that I needed better lights for the flowering stage.
- I then did a bunch of reading and shopping, and bought my MARS HYDRO TS 3000 LED Lights, just in time for my flowers, and it is going really well.
- Apparently, I’m lucky to have caught it in time, because really the blurples are fine for the veg state, and that is a FACT that I have personally demonstrated.
- I’m not (not right now, anyway) willing to take the risk of using the blurple lights for flowering.
- The main downside to blurple is that you aren’t able to see your plants very well and diagnose problems.
