First of all, props to @Emilya, who writes regularly on 420Magazine.com!

I read this great article when I was just starting out my grow and knew NOTHING that any common-sense person who had grown any plant knew:

THE PROPER WAY TO WATER A POTTED PLANT:

THE PROPER WAY TO WATER A POTTED PLANT

I seriously recommend reading the whole article, but anyway, in a nutshell, here are a few very important things to bear in mind when watering your weed if you are growing with soil in an ESTABLISHED fabric planter at least 3+ Gallons.

This is NOT FOR SEEDLINGS OR NEWLY REPOTTED PLANTS.

Techniques are specific to cannabis so you cannot necessarily extrapolate your vegetable gardening experience to your indoor cannabis grow!

NUMBER ONE MOST IMPORTANT TIP: WATER INCREMENTALLY.

Don’t just dump your water into the planter all at once – go at a rate of about a litre at a time for it to absorb properly. Or go by thirds of the total watering. After each litre or third, take a break, give the water time to go down, then add the next litre or third.
