🌱 S11-E20: Final Weeks Before Cannabis Harvest
Click Here or on the thumbnail to view the video on YouTube.
This grow has now passed 141 days since seed, and the plants are on Day 64 of Flower — the first day of Week 10. They’ve completed nine FULL weeks, and the finish line is officially in sight.
Whether harvest happens before the next episode airs or is the next episode… we never know until it happens. That’s the GrowDaddy way.
🌿 Our Growing Style: The Scrogless Scrog
We get asked constantly why our tents never have a traditional 4-inch trellis net.
Here’s the truth:
The GrowDaddyTV Style
We grow:
- No net
- Level canopy
- Muffin tops only (dense top colas)
- 40–60 bud sites per plant (on purpose)
- Near-zero larf
- Why?
Because we train early, we maintain shape, and we defoliate strategically so light hits every top evenly.
This Week… the Ring Light Attacked Louise!
A YouTube ring light fell onto Louise mid-filming. (yes it was Mrs. GrowDaddy’s fault!)
She wasn’t harmed, but after the impact every branch suddenly leaned over in slow motion like a fainting goat.
Cue the yo-yos.
Louise went from 1 yo-yo to a full harness system in under 30 minutes.
The shame is real… [Mrs. GD blushing!]
đź’§ Our Organic Method (Simple AF)
GDTV Style
We grow using a 100% organic “water-only” soil system with:
- A pre-amended soil mix (full recipe in our downloadable spreadsheet)
- One single top-dress during the grow
- Daily watering
- No pH adjustments
- No salts
- No bottled nutrients
- No runoff
- No flush
This system creates:
- Strong stems
- Even canopies
- Hard, dense buds
- Very little leaf clawing or nutrient stress
🌸 Bud Count & Canopy Stats
We always count bud sites — because that’s how we measure success with a scrogless scrog.
Here are the numbers for this run:
Plant Bud Site Count
- Louise – 64 tops (monster this season)
- Chantel – 53 tops (wild child; refuses training)
- Colette – 48 tops before she nannered last week
- Marie – 24 tops (smallest but incredibly beautiful)
- Louise is shaping up to be the heavy hitter this season.
⚠️ About Those Nanners…
Last episode, Colette had to be removed from the tent due to nanners (pollen sacs – she was self-pollinating).
Why it matters:
- Pollinated branches redirect energy into making seeds
- Bud quality drops
- Aroma changes
- Final smoke is compromised
We’re watching closely to make sure Louise wasn’t affected by her tent-sister before Colette was pulled.
đź’ˇ Light Cycle, Hanging Height, & PAR
We moved lights around this week — and accidentally dropped one on Louise (oops).
Here’s where we landed:
Light Cycle
12/12 for all of flower
Veg lasted 186 days (long story… watch earlier episodes!)
Light Specs
- Using a 320W LED in a 4×4
- Suggest a minimum of 240W in a 4×4
PAR after adjustments this week:
- Louise: ~700 PPFD
- Chantel: ~850 PPFD
- Marie: ~800 PPFD
- These levels are right where we want them in late flower, preventing foxtailing and protecting terpenes.
📆 Cannabis Grow Timeline
- 141 days since seed
- Day 64 of Flower
- Start of Week 10
- Likely 7–8 days until chop
We’re nearly there — trichomes are close, buds are swelling, and fans are already imagining the smell of Trim Jail.
🔥 What’s Next?
Depending on how the girls look this week:
We might film one more pre-harvest episode
OR Episode 21 might be the chop
Either way, harvest is coming FAST.
If you want the full breakdown — PAR data, light heights, soil recipes, bud counts from every historical grow — grab our free downloadable spreadsheet (as mentioned in the video).
đź’š Cannabis Flowers –Â Week 10
This episode captures our grow at its absolute peak:
- Frosty tops
- Dense muffin tops
- Low larf
- Even canopy
- Vibrant late-flower colors
Season 11 is wrapping up beautifully, even with Colette’s rogue nanners and the surprise ring-light attack.
Thanks for being part of another week of GrowDaddy.TV — and as always…
C’MON! 🌱✨
